    Ive had other brands of sharpeners like smith and whatnot you know the ones where you just pull the knife through

    Ive had the mediums and unless your shaving down major machetes or axes or rusty knives you probably dont need the medium grit

    If you dont than just get a flat one and save yourself the trouble since sometimes the blade tip can catch the middle edge

    The leather pouch is kind of a joke though its basically leather paper and i guess its okay just for a sharpening stone but i wasnt thrilled about it

    Theres several types and brands of sharpening stones out there to be had

    It will last longer if youll keep the stone dampened while sharpening and theres a variety of lengths and roughness to be found but i dont know why anyone would want a course one
