My second work machine is an oldergen lenovo laptop which only supports usb 2 so i had no expectations i was going to be able to extend the brand new plugablelinked screen to without the higherspeed usb

It runs off a usb port obviously which means that the monitor its connected to cant operate until windows or whatever os youre using has loaded

For that reason you may not want to connect your primary monitor to it

Did not work on mavericks but that is due to apple changes and nothing that the drivers that pluggable use displaylink
