Im even considering these kickstands for my two remaining mountain bikes i am that impressed with the quality
This is a nice high quality stand but unfortunately it rubbed on my chain when retracted
But that is natural and not to do with the kickstand
I like the design and build quality but you will have to make the time to cut down the legs
Competitiveness
Mounted this to a montague x70 folding bike and it works awesome
They tend to wareout within a 3month time frame especially when parking on concrete
Love this stand as soon as i put it on i ordered another for my wifes bike

Operates pretty well but i was dissapointed to see that this kickstand was still being issued with the same manufacturing flaw as on the unit i purchased a few years ago the threads inside the top plate only go about half way in after which the bolt jams pretty tight

Since i was aware of this potential difficulty was prepared with a can of paste wax with which i smothered both parts working the bolt in and out until it was able to complete a full travel before attempting to mount the stand

In addition applied pieces of 3m permanent double stick tape to the bottom plate and the two plastic semicylinders on their too narrowly curved surfaces that contact the bikes cromoly tubes

Fingers crossed that this new one remains functional theres really no alternative out there for long lwb bikes like as mine

I have two large panniers that i fill with groceries even if i fill just one and create an imbalance the bike sits solidly

The mongoose comes equipped with its own kickstand mounting plate but you cannot use it with this stand because the legs will not clear the rear tire
