I just mix a bit of baking soda and a few drops of bleach with warm water pour it into the bladder attach the hose and shake vigorously for about 3 minutes and drain it through the hose by pinching the mouthpiece

It isnt perfect there are a couple of issues the biggest issue is that it comes with no instructions whatsoever so it was not easy to figure out how to take it apart to clean
