Pros

Works as advertised. Not a deal breaker in honesty.

Très bien, très simple. Easy to use. Also in mandolin case.

Easy to hydrate with removable sponge.

Classic humidifier. Easy to use and seems to keep my guitars humidified. I leave it installed while the guitar is in a closed hardbody case.

Cons

D'addario and planet waves - 2 badly designed products in one day. The sponge dries too fast. Does not humidify properly and difficult to take foam in and out.

Its a nice gadget but the sponge is very cheap in the regular humidifier

What about when the guitar is out of the case

Ambient humidity in my region is typically less than 20

It comes with a very thin opencell sponge which dries out too quickly

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I replaced the opencell sponge with a closedcell one that provides much more consistent moisture release over a much longer period of time

They are stiff and hard when you receive but don’t “fret”…soak them in water for 30 secondsjust drop em in a couple inches of water…

Certainly doesn’t replace a humidity controlled room
