Ive been so pleased with the protege that i bought another one for my wifes bike
no need to fumble with the speedo mid ride
Installation was pretty easy although not as easy as a wireless computer since you have to deal with the excess connecting wire
All basic speedometers do the the same thing and with the same accuracy

The price is reasonable and i recommend it highly
Small and light and a reasonable price areall pluses
If you are looking for a low cost bike computer with lots of functions this one is working well for me
Packaging/appearance
I dont mind the cable at all there were plenty of zip ties included to ensure that the cable can be secured out of the way

Having the ride time distance and a clock all on the same screen have allowed us to do a ride without the wife feeling the need to wear a watch were usually pressed for time

Comes off easily to go in the house and goes back on easily and unless you push and hold for a couple seconds it does not reset
