After a quick honing of the blade and squaring of the sole it really performs better than i could have even hoped


The blade is too thin to use with a chisel honing guide but it sharpened well free hand


Certainly performs better than my home made rabbet plane wished i bought it earlier rather than trying to build one trickier than it seems…

    The blade wasnt square but i used a flat surface and 100 grit sandpaper to reset the bevel in about 15 minutes

    Curls do tend to fill up the “escapement” and require being pushed out which does slow the work down but it’s not really a problem

    Somewhat easy to use the plane and somewhat easy to adjust the blade as well
