Pros & Cons

Pros

Cuts well and is easier to use than older pencil style. Great to have a lube reservoir. Fits well in your hand.

It is so much better than hardware store cutters. There are glass cutters that are more expensive that don't match the quality of this one. Can't beat that.

No problem popping off the bottle bottoms after scoring w/ this tool. Works just the same w absolutely no mess.

I followed the advise of other reviewers and opted to apply the oil directly to the cutting surface so the cutter would leak oil

One score across the surface is all it takes

I purchased this cutter because of all of the positive reviews it received

It’s just as easy to dip the tip

I recently purchased an old home that has a substantial amount of old wavey glass

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

While the majority of the panes are in good shape there are some that are cracked and broken and there are also some places in the home where the glass is new and it looks out of place

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I pricedout purchasing 8 panes of reproduction glass that is 9x1334 and it came to 250 which isnt an enormous expense but i read in an article about a woman who restores antique window frames and it said in the article that while reproduction glass is available she is always on the lookout for old wavey glass that she has cut to size
