Pros
Overall i'm satisfied with this unit. The only thing i thought could be improved are the they're a little too vague because they're the same set of instructions used for multiple models and not this particular unit.
On auto you just tell it what temp you want it to keep, and it will move seamlessly between heating and cooling to stay on that temperature. Good cooling.
Indoor and outdoor units are very quiet; only the sound of whooshing air.
Used for an upstairs room. Takes up more space than i had imagined. Now it's only 318 sq foot for a 1000 sq ft machine, but it's like a solar oven in there!

Cons
The factory warranty is for one year. While the price is good the savings are not worth the hassle and lack of support. Don't buy, doesn't last. Totally my fault.
This year compressor goes out. Indoor unit is hard to hear when running on low.

The line sets that you get with the system are exactly the same length
I am anxious for the cold season to see if it lives up to the 100year operating cost that the pioneer website claims

This is by far the quietest and cost efficient model i’ve worked with
The unit cost 1100 and cost 1500 to have it installed

One of the plastic caps on a lineset tube had fallen out in shipping i was afraid it might be contaminated

You will need a vacume pumpan ac manifold crows foot wrenches a torque wrench and an adapter to evacuate the system
If you are looking for a new ductless unit give pioneer a serious look

Install went fine except i had to mount the unit on a detached exterior cement block wall and run the coolant lines underground for about 15 ft through 4 flexible pvc pipe sealed at both ends

I spent half a day trying to figure why i couldnt get a vacuum past 23 mm hg until i remembered that gauge pressure measures the difference between pressure in the pipes and atmospheric pressure
