The new ones are just as excellent as the old ones, which lasted for many years. Will be purchasing the matching hand towels next. Less than claimed gsm of 820 -but i consider that to be an acceptable margin of error.

They are stiff and scratchy - sort of like sandpaper but heavier. The towel is heavy but non-absorbent, and not the least bit fluffy. It is hard on the skin.

Not bleaches, cosmectic products, etc, were used on towel. Discoloration for no apparent reason. It's not a sky blue as the picture showing.

Size is a hindrance to drying off---you feel like you're swinging a bullfighter's cape around, as you towel off. Maybe this towel will soften up after 10 washes or more, i'm not sure.
