Pros & Cons

Pros

Preamp works great but my saddle still needs a little adjustment. Preamp has a 3 band eq, presence and a volume knob.

The 4mohm input impedance helps reduce the spikey sound you often get from piezo usts. Sound quality is much better than expected. And it sounds pretty dang good as well.

Easy enough to install with a little patience. Plywood sides, but a solid top. Cannot beat it for the price.

This unit performs perfectly! Couldn't be happier. Met my expectations.

Cons

It may be warped. Inexpensive, but cheaply made.

First polarity on the wires is wrong of course this does not matter if you are using it as is black was positive and red was negative

Build quality overall isnt great but it does hold up alright my main concern is the volume knob as it is only soldered on one side and moves around some next the battery holder is a little hard to get undone not impossible but i wouldnt want a screwdriver slip near a guitar as it is intended to be used

Only wish it was flat and not curved

Or adding an internal pickup and preamp to an acoustic

The guitar in question for this preamp was an old 2001 ibanez performance full body dreadnought

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I wanted to repair it but didnt want to invest too much money into it

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
