The metal plate separating the inlet and outlet sides keeps the air vortex from reaching the outlet so it keep air out of your pump just make sure your fluid level is over the level of the plate otherwise it can cause the pump to run dry

Cover and base is hefty and screws in precisely into plexi tube that is very thick and one would be forgiven for mistaking it to be glass

After replacing the fitting with no luck i had to add an extra rubber washer to have a good seal

The pictures dont do it justice the black nickel looks more like gun metal in my opinion looks sharp and the threading on the ports is dead on

It has 4 ports on the bottom 2 on the bottom side and 2 on the actual bottom and 1 on the top
