The only downside for me was wanting to use this in a smart outlet however once the power source is shut off smart outlet off and then turned back on again the lamp won’t automatically turn on and must be turned on with the button on the lamp head

There is only one motion that its was missing for me which is a rotational head

It does swivel around but i was hoping for the head to be able to point up to the ceiling or maybe to the wall but its not possible with this one

The desk mount does require at least an inch probably a little more away from the wall so if you like to have the back or sides of your desk right up to the wall then you might have to get the weighted stand or have the lamp on the open side of the desk like installed

I do wish it had like a timer on it so when im working late at night and if i fall asleep at the desk it would be great for it to turn off after a set time to save in electricity and led life
