Pros

You need to download the app from philips but it is easy to use and the alexa app picked up the bulb right away. Works well with google assistant and the app is pretty nice as well. They work with both iphone and android photos.

Philips hue lights can be used for mood lighting or different colors of lighting and want to be able to control the item remotely. These bulbs are a third or forth of what the hue lights cost. Of course purple is my choice.

Cons

The app is infested with ads, attempts to force you to buy a music sync plan and dismissing that page is almost impossible. Often times she says it’s not responding and won’t turn it on at all.

The lights turn on at the wrong time some times despite my time zone being set. I also have it set up to my alexa app and they keep disconnecting from the app. They also flicker quite often.
