Received in good time and happy with product.
So far so good with the philips on all counts.
It obviously won't provide the same quality.
My teeth and gums would be in worst shape if i hadent starting using this product.
In fact, i ordered the same model again, because i was so pleased with the first one!
I can't say this one will last that long, or that yours will, but even if it was only a fluke it's obvious they make a sturdy product.

It is worth the cost of purchase.
Sonicare is the best battery toothbrush on the market.
However, the price was right compared to the newer more expensive models.

Packaging/appearance
He got me hooked on the sonicare ten years ago and he was right.
First off, the sonicare absolutely helps enormously with keeping tartar at bay.
If you could replace the two aa batteries in the sonicare without a big hassle, you would probably never have to buy a new one again.
The sonicare advance works just as well as the sonicare elite so long as you use the e-series brush heads on the sonicare advance.
Competitiveness
I'm on my second of the advance sonicare electric toothbrushes and when this one goes, i'll buy another.

Replacing the batteries requires removing a circuit board and soldering it back along with two rechargeble aa batteries.
You also don't need the most expensive sonicare they make.

Alas, it has a built it timer, so can't just leave it on so it will run down on its own.

You have to keep using it, and then one day, it stops working, now you can't brush.

In the years i've owned it, however, even with reconditioning by 3 years you'd only get 3 days of per charge doing once a day brushing compared to nearly a week when new, mainly because even if powered to 'near' zero you can't really deep discharge these batteries without unmounting it, which means destroying the handle.

I've since converted to the e-series aa battery model which is now going past 5 years, and its battery is strong and reliable, because i can replace it myself and it needs to be recharged only every 3-4 months using eneloop eneloop aaa 1800 cycle, ni-mh pre-charged rechargeable batteries, 8 pack .
