This shampoo is definitely more expensive than other shampoos of this type, but it was totally worth it for me. I've had a chronic itchy, flaky patch that pops up every winter. I have tried everything I could get my hands on, and nothing has made an appreciable difference in my symptoms except summer humidity! After the third use of this shampoo, my scalp cleared up. I have used this for the last four months and am not about to mess with success - I've reordered. I also like it because it smells, looks, and feels like a quality salon shampoo, with no medicinal smell or strange texture. To top it all off, my hair is shiny with great body. I color my hair, and it is very gentle with that, as well. This has been a real winner for me.  Read Less
