Also the ground pin on the power cord had broken off during shipping and i had to purchase a new plug end to repair the power cord
Packaging/appearance
Item was damaged in shipment as the packaging is not sufficient for the weight of the item
Packaging was good its just that the transformer is a bit heavy for the case when its handled roughly

Compared to some of the grubby looking models i have seen it is outstanding

Like most variable ac voltage transformers this not a substitute for an isolation transformers as the neutral output is common directly connected to the ac source

The soldering connections are acceptable for light duty work but may fail inspection for high qualityreliability workmanship

I found out the real reason its not officially certified by a safety agency the metal case itself is not connected to the ground plug
