Pros & Cons
Pros
Pet-tonic (lixotinic) is a fantastic iron and mineral supplement. Available with calcium in a gallon jug through a vet supply store for about $100. Barney gets a capful twice a day and the anemia is gone.
Both blended with food or just as a part of a treat. I let it soak into a dog biscuit with some water and he gobbles it up.
Cons
The bottles are not sealed. My cats not only hates the flavor but started running from me when i try to give it. The ingredients also include corn syrup and sugar. Not very healthy.
Highlights
Price
It would be nice if the price were more moderate given how little it costs in the big jug but at least the twopack is a better value
Competitiveness
I give 5ml twice a day 1tsp
It’s 40 cheaper here than what i paid at the vet
