Pros

Used for young sulcata african tortoise as her winter home. One thing i haven't tried yet is the plastic flap over the front door. Made a small exit door in the back panel for an emergency exit.

The structure is very sturdy, plenty of room for a chicken coop heat source and reptile lights easy to clamp to ceiling (roof raises up) needs a ramp, easy to do with plywood. Smells amazing (cedar) the roof is the real deal.

Cons

For the price it’s a total ripe off. Advertised as cedar, not even close. Made of wood as light as pine shims-not very sturdy.

It is not of a quality for a dog to live in. This was only really used by two lightweight twitcats, not some giant doggo pooch.

The slats bend and creak by pushing your hand down on them. The roofing shingles are buckling.

The wood is thin and brittle and (3) of my main pieces are cracked. Don't try to fix yourself with wood glue or the like. The pieces all come dusty or like brown-ish along with scratches, so paint job ain't the best.

And maybe if the piece had been prepared with the perforated holes this would be a different review and might have gotten a five

I’m not displeased with the house just expected an easier assembly

Overall its perfect and would recommendupdateadded size small in the screen doggie door i got off of amazon

I also screwed down the flooring boards extra because they wobbled and my dog wouldnt go inside because of that

My 90lbs rottweiler puppy fits with room to spare

We actually purchased it for our 3yr old tortoise because she needs a good sturdy house for outside purposes
