After some research we purchased the easy walk harness --- we tried and failed with the gentle leader head collar, our dog just wouldn't accept it no matter what we tried.

Since i rescued her, anytime we would see a dog or a person coming towards us she would freak out barking and lunging over and over until i could drag her until the person/dog was out of sight.

It definitely doesn't hurt her just makes it uncomfortable for her to continue pulling (which sometimes can be worth it to her if something surprises her, that's why i know it is not painful by any means) the martingale component is so small that there is no way it could really be painful.

At first she tried, then thought against pulling.
