The clips are for my arthritic hands very difficult to take off from the banjo a good thing overall

Pads on other straps tend to flip or migrate jus not as naturally comfortable as on the perris

Im giving this a five because it is made well it is very attractive and i like the clips on the hooks which means it remains attached until i remove it unlike my first one which had open hooks and would fall off when i set it down
