Like all zippers they take care in aligning when zipping up but the plastic zippers look like they will hold up and although not exactly breeze to put on and zip up they do go on ok

Got back into riding after an 18 year hiatus pants still fit barely but my beautiful expensive custom tailored field boots certainly did not

Im hard on my boots and chaps at the stables and dont always have time to change when bathing horses grooming riding training from the ground

Since theyre suede theyre predictably not completely waterproof
