It is a thin strip of plastic with a fuzzy surface that holds the lube and allows you to better distribute the lube rather than just squirting it out which it doesnt do well

The owners manual indicated that the belt was prelubed with this exact stuff and that it would never need to be reapplied

I was having problems with my treadmills running belt coming to a complete stop midworkout and some research online pointed at the motor belt and the running belt needing to be relubed as being the two most common parts that cause that issue

I could see that the motor belt had some damage so i ordered that plus the running belt lube for good measure
