The tips are misaligned and don't even grip the fastener correctly. The tool itself is very flimsy and cheap. After multiple tries the tool deformed and became useless.
The tool is not small enough to engage the spring. Was just to bulky to fit between door and frame with spring in it. Could not compress the door spring on a 95 gmt400 tight enough to reinstall.

Never thought id need a tool like this but with the proliferaton of those annoying fasteners they sure do come in handy and youre not nearly as likely to bust the 34button34 tab off as just prying on them with a tool

If you push this tool fully onto the spring and tighten the screw it compresses the spring and allows you to easily remove and later replace the spring
