Perelandra' is a sci-fi novel set on the planet of venus, the garden of eden. The book explores the question what might paradise have been like if evil hadn't invaded? The book is based on the biblical account of the temptation of eve on venus.
The only fault of this book, is that it reads at less than 200 pages. It is as profound today as it was when i read it 40 years ago.

This novel feels like lewis’ manifesto rejecting these ideas34it is the idea that humanity having now sufficiently corrupted the planet where it arose must at all costs contrive to seed itself over a larger area that the vast astronomical distances which are gods quarantine must somehow be overcome
