It took me awhile to figure out that you have to put the vacuum down into the water a bit sideways in my short 10 gallon tank just until the water starts flowing through it

I dont know how good it is at sucking up debris but there was gunk in the white sock when i finished

Works greatbatteries last 5 uses before you notice it getting weekonly bad part is operator error if you let the catch bag fill with too much debris it will blow off

The suction is great if you pay attention to the water line on the vacuum if the motor isnt completely submerged it wont do anything

The drawbacks the batteries dont last in this thing the little bag thing can fall of the tool as a whole is kinda bulky so i have to take off my hood and light to use it
