Highlights
Quality
First time i have sampled welsh whisky and i was pleasantly surprised
I guess that it is really hard to compete with the big boys in scotland when you are producing a malt whisky in wales
This is single malt quality at an average blended price point
Price
A local tipple and the price is key soft tones v nice with a little ice…
Love this whiskeys i have had always buy when the price is right
The price suggests this has been a huge challenge
Penderyn is distillery in the brecon beacons national park
Competitiveness
I buy and drink lots of malts at the lower end of the price range
Any malt outside scotland will struggle to sell above £30 as the competition is hot

I prefer smooth light slightly sweet single malts nothing peaty and smoky that tastes like old ashtrays
