Pros
Love the design & how it looks and more importantly how efficiently it works. These are good and reasonably priced. The less significant you water issue is, the happier you will be with this.
The water is truly clean and odorless. There is a spot on my scalp that improved noticeably within weeks of installation. It removes the chlorine smell and feel of my water.
Cons
The service is mediocre at best and the product defective. This is filters are junk! Do yourself a favor prevent a headaches and purchase another brand.
The compression washer provided is just ridiculous, thin and flimsy. When the filter is attached the shear weight of the product added to the line connection shifts and the whole assembly loosens at the unit side.
The filter is wayyy too heavy to hang off the spigot. The fitting is too small and will not allow for a snug leak free fit so it leaks everywhere. It easily begins to leak at the filter side through the connector back of the connector, not the water l... Read More

Packaging/appearance
My husband took off the the old show head used the plumbers tape for both screw on pieces and turned it on with no problem no leaks
Competitiveness
We purchased this after owning an aquasana unit and i can tell you that this is by far a superior product
I personally feel that this is better than aquasana shower filters

My apartment has extremely hard water with a very nasty smell even though my landlord has water softeners and conditioners it doesnt quite do the trick

The filter sits at the top of the assembly making it extremely top heavy when it is filled with water after installation the connection between the base of the product and the threaded connector is a form of ball joint that does not have any adjustment to fix it in place as long as you do not touch the shower head everything is fine but if you attempt to adjust the shower head the filter will overbalance and tip over

Ive tried all the cheap ones dont waste your money this thing lasts longer than they even advertise and changes your water completely
