    The original one she had was the standard red/blue very thin nap mat originally purchased during back to school at walmart.

    One thing to note is that the gaps between the cushions are pretty significant (they have to be so that you can fold it up), and i was worried that it might be uncomfortable because of that, but it doesn't seem to bug him in the slightest.

    I already felt guilty enough about enrolling the kids in daycare, and the fact that they'd have to sleep on an uncomfortable mat was making me feel even worse.

    They also hold the mat together, as it were, so the gaps in between the sections are a non-issue.

    While is true kids adapt to almost anthing, it does not mean anyting is comfortable.

    The 2 inch thick kinder mat is by far the best i've found, others are flat and uncomfortable.
