We just tossed it in the washing after and it was brand new again

However it does absorb differently it quickly absorbs liquid instead of being water resistant

It absorb water but you will still feel the wetness on the surface

Cleaning the pad i simply do a easy wipe off on the side where i put the pad on the ground then just toss it in the washing machine to wash
