Pros

The 91r is definitely a more aggressive razor than either the edwin jagger de89, or the merkur 34c hd. The etched handle gives for a super sturdy grip even when wet. Jagger but i really like the weight and feel of the razor.

This safety razor is one of the nicest razors i've seen. Its edge is true and its purpose is grave.

I use a brush and colonel conk soap (we have soft water so it lathers well) it has not backed off while shaving, so i think it is a strong point. Buy yourself a decent razor like this one and use up your canned shaving cream.

The butterfly opening seems a little easier (safer? It is three-piece construction whereas my old one was butterfly open. I personally prefer these 3 piece models over the butterfly design simply because they appear to be of a heavier duty caliber.

Cons

The head is so uneven that dangerous juts of blade can stick out. The underside of the head looks like pewter and would just snap after some use. Great razor for the gorilla face among us but not me.
