Without spoiling too much this is a coming of age story about a group of paper girls in the 80s whos worst case scenario is being messed with early halloween little do they know that somewhere in the boondocks of time is where there little life exists

On top of being visually impactful it is internally consistent with itself they did not change who did what from edition to edition

Additionally the pacing is quick but it does not read like the author is leaving things openended unnecessarily

The upside is that context pretty much reveals everything and they writer did not include the narrative trick of repeating everything that is not understood in the form of the question by one of the characters

I was so engrossed in the story i found myself disappointed when it ended and ran out to get volume 3 immediately
