I bought another product at $200.

Although i haven't use it over wifi yet, it seems there was an ongoing issue with that, but greatfully ace deal had a fix for it.

The manual in the box however does not mention anything about supporting cec, so maybe the amazon description is wrong or cec stands for something else.

The resolution wouldn't automatically be recognized at 1080, so i had to adjust it at the source or at the tv.

There seems to be some compression going on the signal too, so the picture didn't seem as crystal clear as when connected directly, but it worked eventually and sitting on the couch, you probably wouldn't be able to notice the picture difference much.

The main frustration i have with the glut of these products, all of which seem to be sharing the same design, is there is no practical home solution in mind.

A lot of them, like this one, state they are expandable with additional receivers, so by connecting the sender and multiple receivers to a router, you can get 1 a/v source onto multiple tvs.

I can't imagine you can connect more than 1 sender on a network because there is no switching at the receiver side to choose which signal to display.
