Im not sure how it works so well but it does i can pick up the phone at one end of the house and walk entirely to the other end of the house still talking with no signal sound degradation

Just need to remember to bring the phone back and get it into the charger when call completes

The speaker phone is in the hand held and works wonderfully on each unit it is not part of any of the base charger units
