Pros
Leather is soft and pliable. Comfortable, durable and protects my hands well working in or around the fireplace.
The gauntlet is high enough to prevent burns on the wrists and forearms. They also protect against splinters from the split wood. We burn a lot of firewood in our home and these gloves allow me to tend to those fires without burning myself.
Size medium fit a hand that normally wears sz 8-9 gloves loosely. I wear 2xl latex gloves at work -- these gloves fit me well.
Cons
The gloves look and feel great but now i have one usable glove. The heat goes right through the glove and is burning hot inside. This is very disappointing since my husband’s other woodstove gloves have lasted him many seasons.
A dime sized hole developed at seam at the base of the thumb within one month. By two months the thumb is torn completely open. If anyone who didn't install it tries to take it down, they will be endlessly tightening and eventually trying to strip the... Read More
