Pros & Cons
Pros
The texture is kind of crisp - different from typical pasta, but not objectionable. It has a slight tangy flavor to it but compliments the rao sauce i use to give it a more savory flavor. Definitely better than a shiratake noodle.
Palmini hearts of palm 'noodles' have an immediate difference to the mouthfeel. Taste isn't bad or overwhelming, especially if you put a marinara sauce on it. A welcome addition to my paleo lifestyle.
Cons
It tastes so sour, even after rinsing it for several minutes. Slimy and *. It smells * and taste sour and disgusting.
I am not suicidal, but my view is screw the pasta substitutes and enjoy life. Won't do that again.
Highlights
Quality
Used them in a tuna casserole the first time out just cooked a bit with the sauce and done
You can create any dish the same and substitute the pasta with the palmini noodles
