I simply cut off that part of the plat that was in the way didnt effect it at all

Like many people on the first day i took my angle grinder to the tool rest and cut it so that i didnt need to keep moving it to change grinder belts

The disc sander table has butterfly nuts that are helpful but the table for the belt sander is an allen screw
