Pros

Painting for the absolute and utter beginner has the info starting with what you'll need. It proceeds from materials selection to paint-mixing (for both hue and consistency) to brush-handling. Good solid details on painting with acrylics.

Bought this to watch netflix. I am currently in the fourth chapter and till now this book is a delight. It is brilliant!

Cons

It's not a bad book, but it could hold back a student from advancing in it's inexorable step-by-step- by-bleeding-step process.
