It's a rare treat to find a writer who’s both talented and funny. The author sprinkles in just the right amount of humor to make the book very interesting. It is as entertaining as it is educational.
Mary roach is an accomplished author. The uncanny ability to present scientific knowledge in a humorous way, a roach trademark. Roach's book is well researched, and i found it to be entertaining.
Mary manages to make it all entertaining, even funny, instead of dry and boring. Mary has a delightful inquisitive mind and she is funny as heck!
Lying down keeps astronauts from fainting. Nasa’s recommended astronaut attribute list includes an ability to relate to others with sensitivity, regard, and empathy. Being an astronaut is so much harder.

Though i know mary roach is an adult woman the humor throughout the book seems more like that of a 12 year old boy

This is so much the case that if i ever had a chance to meet the author i would fully expect conversations to be peppered with fart jokes and juvenile references to sex

Fortunately i am not beyond deriving some pleasure from middleschool potty humor on the written page especially when it applies to the awkward existence of humans and perhaps any terrestrial animal in space
