Among some of the more logistical topics, she covers toilets in space, space craziness.

She does so through the comments and writings of individuals that span from the comical to the poignant. It's a fun book, but it's also amazingly funny!

Mary roach seems to have a fixation of * functions. Ms roach discusses how rank underwear gets after two weeks (as any mountaineer can attest), but makes no mention of what would happen on a much longer trip to mars.
