When installing on wood plank it’s worth using a mortising router bit. When mounting on plywood, i use a 3 1/4 inch hole saw.

Cons

Unfortunately ordered a 6-pack and received with only 5 d-rings and 6 backing plates w/ hardware. Hopefully seller makes this right.
