Pros & Cons
Pros
Switched every toilet in my house to these. This is the only ring that works on my toilet that doesn't result in leakage within 6 to 12 months. Its my understanding that backtracking with wax means another ring.
The seal is well designed and all aspects seem to be made well and sturdy. No stench, no mess. No more leak at all. No problems, no odors.
They seem easier to install then wax, especially for me. If anyone else needs to do so, a serrated knife is the best method.
Cons
The fluidmaster 7530p8 is flimsy right out of the box. The * in the floor sticks up 1/2 so i should not have needed two, or extension that it comes with. I presume this will work only if your * is below floor level and even. I have a kohler persuade s... Read More
Packaging is misleading. Instructions say you can't use bleach. Having to purchase 2 to do the job of one seal does not satisfy the term universal.

Highlights
Quality
This product works very well i would recommend it to anyone
We are very happy with the decision to go with this one instead of the wax one
After a few installs with the standard wax rings i disovered these years ago
Without the spacer the toilet just plopped down with no resistance at all and was clearly not making contact with the seal
Shipping
Thank goodness for prime overnight shipping we got this in less than 24 hours and were able to use the toilet the next morning
Packaging/appearance
The box provides everything that you need well right out of the box
Competitiveness
I was a little skeptical about plastic and foambased seal but was very pleasantly surprised by this fluidmaster product
Follow the instructions and it takes a few minutes to put in and works great especially for the price
