The new part has a different filter in it, but the part just slid right onto the robot and works like a new one. The bins aren't cheap, but i guess i'm thankful they are available.

The back flap on the original roomba dust bin and a 3rd party brand replacement i bought both failed

You have to open the flap to empty the bin every time and before long it gets loose
