Im not sure what i was doing wrong but i eventually got that blue and red led light on the bottom to start blinking finally making the headphones visible to my smartphone

You can also pair the headphones using nfc but i dont really have a clue how that works so i was determined and ultimately was able to get these paired

There is an app to download that you can use as a pedometer when youre out walking wearing the headphones
