It's a quite straightforward install if you have some experience with computers. Owc provides a step by step instruction video in their site. These are straightforward to apply and again there are videos which cover these.

Im personally very happy with the 1tb sdd upgrade and i cant recommend it enough

The product works great and is exactly as advertised easy diy to upgrade the hard drive of your mac

Be very careful with the data cable for the screen

Nothing of that nature is needed you just slice through the adhesive with the little tool and the display comes off

Well worth the price considering a new imac would have cost a minimum 1800

Packaging/appearance

Be careful not to remove the black film under the glue left on the screen

The hardest part of getting this done was reattack8ng the cables to the back of the screen

The process to install it was fairly simple the part that takes longer is peeling the sticker tape once you remove the screen

Competitiveness

I replaced a 2tb fusion drive with this uncoupled the hdd part and reconfigured the built in 128gb internal ssd

I own a late model 2012 imac 27 that had a 1tb conventional hard drive

Upgraded my late 2013 imac to a 2tb ssd

I put all system functions on the built in 128gb and left the entire 2tb for data storage
