Extra length is awesome. Not wimpy. Nicely built. Very happy with this purchase.
Cons
No spring makes these tongs useless. They are too heavy for delicate meats like fish or thin cuts. Good luck with lesser grates.
I'm not sure how they are affixing the bristles, whether it is glue or mechanically (trapping the metal ends somehow) or what.

You should be able to fit a solid foot of food on these leaving enough spare space not to torch the handles handles do not go over fire
