However my son really hated the checkedplaid pattern so back it goes gotta keep him happy with how it looks because its enough of a struggle to make him comply with wearing a sun hat instead of a baseball cap

There is an adjuster to make the part around the head tighter

It was a little big at first but because i could tighten the band it just bunched a little bit in the back
