The strap is located exactly like the picture shows in the listing it goes right over the hammer securing it and can be adjusted depending on the size of your gun

The belt clip is a really tight fit and its pretty darn hard to have the whole holster ripped off your hip when you have it just simply clipped onto your jeans andor belt the only issue i had was after frequent use of the clip the piece that holds it started to rip a bit

This tiny issue can be prevented completely though if you use your thumb to hold onto the side of the fabric while prying the clip open

Probably would not hold up as an every day holster

I wouldnt be afraid of my gun falling out of the holster or the holster falling off of my belt while using the clip at all

The thumb snap also seems quite reliable it doesnt take much to snap it together and once its snapped i dont think it would come unsnapped with out any direct effort
