The true outback is heavier, with thicker cloth. That translates into more thicket/briar resistance and presumed longer use/life.

I'm 5'7 165#s and the medium is perfect. Could go for a size small but looove the roominess. This xl fits perfectly with or without leathers underneath.

The overall weight of the jacket is heavy enough that even without them being used that it should not flare even under heavy gusts of wind. Perfect for windy, rainy, chilly days.
