The downsides would be that they need to be cleanedwashes twice thoroughly before the lid loses its smell they are round so if you got something fizzy inside and it closes tight it might be hard to open so far we always got them open with a bit of love but for others this might pose more of a problem

And if you are looking for perfectly shaped ones they are not some are less round than others
